GLASTONBURY MUSIC FESTIVAL 2005

The
dates of the Glastonbury 2005 Music Festival are 24th - 26th June,
with the gates to open at 9am on Wednesday 22nd June.
Glastonbury is located in Somerset, England. It started in September 1970 the day after Jimi Hendrix Died and lasted two days. Admission was just £1 and included free milk from the farm where the festival is held. The following year the festival was moved to the summer to coincide with the Summer Solstice. It was paid for by supporters who felt other festivals were becoming too commercial and admission was free.

confirmed.
2006:
Fallow Year
Following the 2005 licence meeting,
Michael Eavis confirmed that he did not intend to hold an event
in 2006 in order to allow the land time to recover and the cows
to have more time grazing outside during the summer.
The festival activities wil return in June 2007.
